My first (and only) "getting hauled up by the police for drifting" was in an X1/9. Good times, as you say.

And restored, with turbo? NP all the way. Nice wheels, too.

The stock X1/9 was pretty gutless, at least here in the US. Still fun though.

Might be a whole different animal with a turbo.

Pretty gutless in the UK, too. You didn't buy an X1/9 for guts though, you bought it for handling. And for Targa, of course...

Oh yeah, the X1/9 was a great machine for summer exploration of lonely mountain roads. With the targa top off, of course.
